Hotdogs & Beans YUM!

Today is Tuesday April 28th, Reese has gained 1/2 lb since she has started the feeding clinic. Yeah! Gaining weight is always good! She is moving right along and today in her second meal she had hot dogs and beans. Broccoli & cheese looks better pureed than beans & franks! It's all in the taste for Reese. She liked it! She did know it was a change, but was OK with it.....
Reese is up to 16 bites per meal which equals out to approx 2-3 ounces.

We had out family meeting today and talked about the progress.....The feeder take notes after each bite. Notes are taken on acceptance, expels (letting the food fall out of mouth) disruptions(anything that Reese does to try and get attention) gagging, coughing and clean mouth after each bite. All this information is then part on a graph to show the progress. There were days that went up and down. Most of these days involved the eggs! Though Reese is making steps in the right direction, it is slow(all foods need to be pureed) We are OK with this because it is more then what she was doing before this program. This process may take up to 1 year before she can eat age appropriate.

We are dedicated to making this work this time!
Tomorrow is PB&J!!!!!

Hi Reese,
You go girl. Hot dogs & beans were your brothers favorite lunches when they were at Aunt Adele's house. Pretty soon you will be eating cheese steaks & fries. We are so proud of you & hope you continue to do well at the feeding clinic. Keep up the good work.
Love & Kisses,

Well I have seen my daughter kick and scream not to sit in her chair and eat at home. When I went on Friday I saw my little girl Happiely climb up in her chair and start to except little bites and some big one's to.Grab her spoon and feed her self a couple of times. This is huge to my family and me and of course Reese. We keep it going over the weekend with 4 feeding's 4oz a feeding. which is great. My duaghter look's like my son Mason and has a little a mean strike like he does to.But a big heart like her big brother Nicholas. When you come home from some where you get this when you come thought the door Mommy or Daddy huge hug and a kiss. I love you keep up the hard work and you will be eating everything soon enough. Love your Daddy.
